This morning, Mr. Merha Agonafer, Deputy Head of Mission to the African Union presented a delegation of Ethiopian Bishops to visit the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Malta at the Grand Chancery in Rome. His Eminence Berhaneyesus Cardinal Souraphiel, CM, Archbishop of Addis Ababa, led the delegation. He was accompanied by: Bishop Muse Gebregeyorgis Emeritus bishop of Eparchy of Emdibir, Bishop Markos Gebremedhin  Bishop Of Vicariate Jimma Bonga., Bishop Seyum Franso of Vicariate Hossana and Rev. Tesfaye Tadesse Superior General of Congregation of Comboni Fathers.

Substantive talks on the collaboration of the Order of Malta and the Catholic Church in Ethiopia were held and both sides look forward to fulfilling the Church’s mission to serve the sick and the poor.
